BITTER ROOT POTTERY WILL BE DECORATED WITH BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS AND BALLOONS TO CELEBRATE OUR WONDERFUL MOTHER'S!

This Mother's Day, our beginner class will offer the ideal opportunity to create a special bowl or vase for Mom. Participants will have the chance to craft a wheel-thrown bowl or vase and personalize it using decorative tools.

Our Mother’s Day special wheel-throwing class includes clay, tools, choice of glaze color, and firing of your pieces. After a quick clean-up, you’ll choose from a variety of glaze colors. Your pots stay at the studio and staff handle all the post-production of your pieces - glazing and firing. Once everyone’s pots are finished, the staff will contact you for pick-up.

**Please allow about 6-8 weeks for your pottery to go through the entire firing process**

From start to finish, this full-service pottery experience is something you will always remember!

HOW TO BOOK:

Reserve and pay in full online. Keep in mind, spots per session are limited - once it sells out, it sells out. If you do not see the time or number of tickets you want, it is because it is already booked and unavailable. Choose another slot. Once you reserve, your name will be placed on our calendar system and you will receive an email confirmation. Save your confirmation! On the day of your class, arrive at Bitter Root Pottery 15 minutes before your time.

We cannot change reservations once they are made, so please be sure you are choosing the correct time!!!

WHAT TO WEAR

Come dressed comfortably, with long hair tied back and nice jewelry and watches removed (they won’t get hurt but it is a pain to clean the clay off!). The clay will wash out and we do provide clean aprons; but wear clothes you don’t mind getting clay on. And just a friendly tip - long nails are not pottery-friendly because the process involves so much of your hands and fingers.

PARKING

There is 2 hour metered street parking so pay attention to the signs. We suggest rideshare when possible.

NOTE ON ATTENDANCE/RESCHEDULES/REFUNDS

On the day of your class, arrive at Bitter Root Pottery 15 minutes before the class you’re attending. If you are late, the class will still start and end at the listed time to give staff time to clean properly between sessions. We do not afford extra time for those who show up late. We do not offer refunds or reschedules for missed bookings.

You are coming to Bitter Root Pottery for the whole experience of working in a ceramics studio with a knowledgeable, friendly instructor! Our instructors have been working for years in this discipline to learn its many nuances and to get to the skills they have today. These skills cannot be imparted in one 2 hour session. So while you may have ideas of making a perfect bowl, we encourage you to put those expectations down and focus on enjoying the entire experience of working with clay and engaging with the creative process so in-depth.
